Novus Sealing has expanded it's portfolio of services to include a new, dedicated facility in Novus New Build Limited which works within the new build and projects market and complements its existing export business.

The venture is headed up by Hannah Linegar, who has a wealth of experience within the sealing industry and who is heavily focused on customer service.

Novus Sealing are pleased to announce the addition of GRAFOIL® GTS® Thread Sealant to their portfolio of gasket and sealing products.

The GRAFOIL® product consists of a high purity paste made from a combination of nuclear grade graphite and a nuclear quality petroleum-based carrier. It has the inherent characteristics needed for long life performance, even under the most severe conditions.

Because of its resistance to heat and corrosion, GRAFOIL® GTS® Thread Sealant paste provides an effective seal for long periods of time, and will outperform conventional thread sealants in high temperature applications.

Novus HDS-1 is a superior performance, high dielectric strength compressed sheet material based on a blend of aramid fibre and special additives with a high quality nitrile binder system. It is designed as an insulating material for flanges where excellent sealing performance and good mechanical properties are a requirement. Typical applications include offshore installations, sea water environments, chemical installations and oil refinery pipelines where galvanic corrosion protection is required. The material also finds use on cathodic protection systems and preventing the flow of electrostatic charge beyond the system itself and as an insulator for induction equipment.

The majority of traditional high dielectric strength products are relatively poor seals. HDS-1 utilises a new sheet jointing manufacturing technology to produce a superior sealing sheet material with good handling and cutting characteristics but which, for the first time, has exceptional high levels of electrical resistance. The technology utilises two separate layers of materials specially formulated to prevent the passage of electricity but which also enables it meet the requirements of BS 7531 Grade X, one of the highest sealing standards in the world and the clean air requirements of TA Luft in Germany.

The material is available in either standard kit form (comes complete with a 3 mm HDS1 full face or raised face gasket, 2 x 3 mm insulating HDS1 washers per bolt and two mild steel washers per bolt) or in sheet form measuring 2m x 1.5 m, either 1.5 or 3 mm thick.

Novus Corrugated Gaskets consist of a corrugated metal core, normally stainless steel, with a soft facing layer applied to each face. The corrugations provide resilience and reduce the sealing contact surface area of the gasket while the soft layer ensures outstanding sealing, even at low loads. These gaskets are particularly suited to heat exchanger applications as a replacement for metal jacketed gaskets.

Corrugated metal gaskets have a proven record in problematic exchanger applications,offering low relaxation, high resistance to radial shear and high levels of tightness. For this reason these gaskets are replacing many of the older technologies such as metal jacketed, particulaly on heat exchangers.

Novus provides a complete range of flange insulation products. The kits are used as an insulator between dissimilar metal flanges or to electrically isolate sections of pipework in cathodic protection systems, preventing the flow of electrostatic charge along the pipelines.

Novus Bolt-Lube is a high quality assembly and anti-sieze compound, designed for use on fasteners operating where arduous conditions may be encountered.

Novus Bolt-Lube has been formulated to provide easier assembly/disassembly of fasteners, reducing the torque required to load and unload the joint and an extreme pressure additive provides additional protection against galling or seizure.

Novus Bolt-Lube contains molybdenum disulphide(MoS2), graphite and other low friction ingredients in a non-setting form and is available in a range of sizes, from 500g tin to 20kg pail.

In addition to our sheet and gasket products Novus offer a full range of compression packings for valve, rotary pump, and reciprocating pump applications. When application temperatures exceed the limits of exfoliated graphite, the end user has a recourse to a number of specialist jointing materials which maintain their integrity at temperatures up to 1000Ę C.

In addition to the materials resistance to high temperatures, it possesses outstanding chemical resistance making it suitable for applications where many conventional sealing materials are attacked.

Metal jacket gaskets consist of a soft filler encapsulated in metallic material. The filler material provides the gasket with compressibility and resilience while the jacket confers compressive strength and blow out resistance.

Novus Camprofile gaskets are the ideal product choice for standard pipeline and heat exchanger applications. They provide the highest level of sealing integrity but with the ability to seal at seating stresses normally associated with sheeting materials. Camprofiles are able to cope with fluctuating temperatures and pressures making them the gasket of choice for heat exchanger service. The product can be used time and time a gain when refurbished.

Novus Camprofile gaskets are available in a number of styles to suit applications. Of particular note is the style M21LM which incorpoarates a floating guide ring with unique edge attachment, improving both the sealing integrity and it's recycling capabilities.
